Competition rules

These rules govern every Market League trading competition. By registering, you agree to trade within the terms below for the full duration of the competition month.

Eligibility

• Free to enter. No deposit or purchase is required to join.
• Open to traders aged 18 and over.
• Register yourself on the Register page while registration is open for the current competition.
• One entry per trader per competition month. Duplicate or multiple accounts belonging to the same person will be merged or disqualified.
• Registration closes at the date shown on the homepage countdown and on the Register page. Late entries are not accepted once the competition has started.
• Every registrant starts at the same balance, so standings are decided purely on % return.
• Market League staff, admins, and their immediate family members may not enter for cash prizes.

Trading period

• The competition runs for one calendar month, starting and ending at the times shown on the homepage countdown.
• Only trades placed within the official trading window count toward your result.
• Trades opened before the competition starts, or closed after it ends, are not counted.
• Results are locked at the close of the final trading day; any positions still open at that time are marked-to-market at the closing price for scoring purposes.

Scoring

• Traders are ranked by percentage return on their starting balance.
• Results are logged once per trading day by the competition admin, based on statements or screenshots submitted by each trader.
• The leaderboard updates as soon as new results are recorded.
• In the event of a tie, the trader with the lower maximum drawdown during the competition is ranked higher; if still tied, the earlier registration time wins.
• Traders who fail to submit results for more than 3 consecutive trading days may be marked inactive and removed from the leaderboard.

Allowed instruments & accounts

• Any instruments offered by your broker — forex, indices, commodities, crypto, or stocks — may be traded unless the current competition announcement states otherwise.
• You must trade from a single, dedicated account for the full competition. Switching accounts mid-competition is not allowed without admin approval.
• Demo and live accounts are not mixed within the same leaderboard; each competition specifies which account type applies.

Risk limits

• Maximum risk per trade is 5% of your starting balance, unless a different limit is announced for the current competition.
• Maximum daily drawdown is 10% of your starting balance. Breaching this limit on a trading day disqualifies that day's results and may result in removal from the competition.
• Excessive leverage, martingale, or grid strategies used purely to game the leaderboard may be flagged for admin review.

Prizes

See the full prize list for the current month's cash rewards and funded-account tiers. Prizes are locked once registration opens and won't change mid-competition. Winners are notified through the contact details provided at registration and must respond within 7 days to claim a prize.

Conduct

• Any attempt to manipulate, falsify, or misreport results disqualifies the entry immediately.
• Submitting statements or screenshots that don't match your registered account is treated as falsification.
• Collusion between traders to inflate results, or any form of account sharing, is prohibited.
• Abusive or disrespectful behavior toward admins or other traders may result in removal from the competition.
• The admin's decision on final standings, disqualifications, and rule interpretation is final.

Changes to these rules

Market League may update these rules between competitions to keep them fair and current. Any changes will apply to future competitions only, not to a competition already in progress, and the current terms are always the ones posted here at the time you register.
